What time is check-in and check-out?

Check- in is 3 pm, check-out is 11 am.

How far is University of Georgia and Sanford Stadium from The Athenian?

The Athenian is less than a mile from University of Georgia and 1 mile from Sanford Stadium.

Can I book your rooms for my entire wedding party?

Group blocks are available. Please contact us at info@stayathenian for information.

Does The Athenian allow pets?

Unfortunately, we are not a pet-friendly hotel due to the historic nature of the house and the grounds.. We welcome ADA certified service animals at no charge, but guests must contact and notify us before arrival. A fee may be imposed for damage to guest rooms by any service animal.

What if I need to check in late?

At The Athenian, we embrace modern technology to enhance your stay. All guests receive electronic access to their rooms prior to arrival, ensuring you can access your guest room at any time, regardless of your arrival time.

Where do I park while staying at The Athenian?

Due to our ideal location, a vehicle is not necessary to explore downtown Athens. We offer 6 parking spots on site that are available on a first come, first serve basis. There are two parking garages within walking distance of the inn along with other options via downtown city parking and the park mobile app. We welcome you to drop your luggage at the Inn before parking using our designated loading/unloading parking spot to the left of the inn.

Does The Athenian offer event or meeting space?

We welcome small meetings, conferences, and group gatherings at the inn with the option of a full property rental for a truly exclusive experience.

Does The Athenian serve breakfast?

While we don't serve breakfast at the inn, we would love to recommend several nearby restaurants that offer wonderful breakfast options.

What is the cancellation policy?

To avoid a one-night cancellation fee (room + tax), reservations must be canceled by 4:00 pm EST, 14 days prior to arrival. If canceled outside of the 14 day policy, the deposit will be fully refunded. Reservations may not be reduced inside of the 14 day window.
